Katanga's Murder Case To Be Heard in July

The High court in Kampala has set the 2nd July 2024 to start hearing the murder case against the widow of murdered Kampala businessman Henry Katanga who is the key suspect in her husband's murder.

54 year old Molly Katanga , currently on remand at Luzira maximum prison is jointly charged with their two daughters Patricia Kakwanza and Martha Nkwanzi Katanga.

The siblings  are charged with concealing/ destroying valuable evidence in the said murder.

They are jointly indicted with family Shamba boy George Amanyirre and a nurse Charles Otai who are charged with being an accessory after the fact.

The other four accused person's are currently out on bail.

Trial  judge justice  Isaac Muwata on Tuesday y met Katanga's lawyers and the Director of Public Prosecution -DPP  in a closed door meeting in which the parties agreed to the said date.

Prosecution contends that  Henry Katanga was shot dead by his wife on November  2nd , 2023 at their family home on Chwa 11 Road in Kampala Nakawa Division .

Justice Muwata also  fixed April 3rd 2024  to hear Molly Katanga's  bail application
